Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are raising money in aid of St Peter & St James' Hospice, by cycling 73 miles in the Etape de Haywards Heath on the 1st April 2012.

St Peter & St James' Hospice is located in Sussex providing free specialist care, love and support for those living with progressive, life limiting illnesses from East and West Sussex.

It receives less than 17% of its funding from the Government and has to raise more than £1.8 million every year through fundraising. Equating to £5,000 every single day.

We know that at present money is tight, and there are also a lot of worthy causes to donate to, but anything you can donate, no matter how small it may seem to you, will be greatly appreciated by St Peter and St James', the people they care for, along with their families.

We will have very saddle sore bums at the end of the 73 miles, so if that makes it easier to part with your money, just think of that!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time, to everyone who needs us; all of our hospice services are free of charge. It costs £6m per year to provide our services but we receive just 13% of this from the Government. We rely on support from our amazing community fundraisers.
