Story

Alan Paul Chappell (1953 – 2018) died peacefully at his home on 24th June surrounded by his wife and children. Paul, as he was known, lived in the area for over 35 years establishing his business here in 1996.
Respected as a highly-talented trader and mentor in the foreign exchange markets, he was admired globally for his support of the industry. He actively raised funds for charities and is credited for his work rescuing The Haven, a Stevenage-based homeless shelter. Courted by many organizations, Paul had a unique ability to get things done when others could not. He was not averse to moving tables, providing drinks or clearing at numerous special needs events. Paul opened his home on countless occasions for family and friends and was happiest when serving others.
Paul was a devoted husband. He was a role model, a source of wisdom and encouragement for his children and granddaughters.
Paul was a rock of support to his brother, sister, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was loved by all and loved all. Paul was a true model of Christian virtue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9th July, 9.30 AM at Holy Family Church, Welwyn Garden City.
