Story
On Sunday 15th July, I will be running in the British 10K with colleagues from around the Methodist Church , raising funds to support the work of All We Can.
Recent news headlines have been diverted elsewhere, but other world events keep relief organisations busy, not least in the Middle East, and dealing with the consequences of natural disasters elsewhere.
All We Can, a charity rooted in the Methodist Church, continues to work on the front line of such crises. The work it supports often goes unnoticed, but continues to make a real difference.
During an overseas visit to West Africa in 2014, I saw how important local development projects can be for communities and individuals alike. Many of these projects are very simple and need only modest funds, yet make a real and lasting difference when undertaken in parallel to immediate relief work.
Taking in several famous London landmarks, we will be running to raise money for relief and development projects amongst some of the world’s poorest communities, hoping that they can become all that they can.
Inspired by one of John Wesley’s mottos, I hope that you will ‘...give all you can…’ to support this important cause. For more details, visit www.allwecan.org.uk
