Hi and thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

For some inexplicable reason I've long wanted to do a big ocean swim and that moment has arrived... 7km across the dark and dirty, shark-infested, pirate-thick waters of the Solent, from Hampshire to the Isle of Wight on September 9, 2010. I'm swimming to raise money for IPC's charity of the year, the Mental Health Foundation, a charity that offers support to many thousands of Britons every year and needs as much financial help as it can get. The fact I'm also saving a one-way fare on the Red Jet Ferry to the Bestival festival didn't even enter my thinking...

It's a small crew, 12 of us in total, so I'd be really pleased if you could spare some cash and help make it an adventure that's worth the wetsuit rash!
