We help people facing terminal illness to have the best quality of life possible

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many people in Harrow and Brent continue to need hospice care in the last stages of their lives, whether in their own homes or in St Luke's Hospice at Kenton Grange. The dedicated team at St Luke's provide whatever kind of end-of-life care suits each patient and their families, at no charge.

This year's annual sponsored walk is the 20th one, and we are aiming to make it a very special one. It's along St Cuthbert's Way from Melrose in the Scottish Borders to the holy island of Lindisfarne, from May 22 to 27. I've been involved in one way or another in all the previous 19 walks, and this year I'm again part of the back-up team. So I shall be driving around ahead of the walkers putting up direction signs and traffic warning signs, and seeing walkers safely across roads - and of course clearing the signs away afterwards.

Like the walkers, I meet my own costs of travel and accommodation. So all your sponsorship money goes directly towards patient care at the hospice. Please be generous, as the hospice staff are with their time. This might be the last walk where I take such an active role.
