The institute of cancer research helps fund scientists as part of their work. They are a well known and respected organisation and the money we raise through this will be of great benefit. I chose this charity because I am adopted and my natural mother died through lung cancer, my adopted mum is recovering from breast cancer. In our life we are all unfortunately likely to be affected by this disease. Research is essential. This is my 14th or so marathon, but my first abroad, and I try to run under 3hrs. Im averaging around 80miles a week. Before ive been less than a minute out twice so hopefully this time i'll get 2;59 or something amazing like that. Then I can throw my running shoes away, or run another, and another.
