Story
On October
2nd, I will be running in the London Marathon to raise funds for the
NSPCC. It’s an incredible charity that has been helping to protect
children from abuse and to rebuild their lives since it was founded in
1884.
I’ve set myself the fundraising target of £2,000 (the cost of running Childlline for 2hours). Any donation, however small, could help make to make a difference to achild’s life. I’ve listed a few examples at the bottom of how your support can help the charity. Please ask me if you’d like any more information on the incredible work that is done by the NSPCC and I’ll be very happy to provide.
I appreciate that you may be a little fatigued to receive yet another request for a charitable donation from someone doing a ‘challenge’ which is essentially something they enjoy doing. So I have to be honest and say I love running and it’s a way for me to help my mental health. I loved the experience of running the LA marathon so when the opportunity came along of a place in the London, running in aid of the NSPCC, I jumped at the chance. To have the opportunity to aid the work of this amazing charity while doing something that keeps my head in the right place, well that seemed to me like a win win.
So I’m asking you for your support.
Thank you in advance for your support. It means the world to me.
