On Sunday the 15th September I will be running the Great North Run half-marathon and it would be great if you could sponsor my efforts. I am running for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust who do so much great work in both research into this life-threatening inherited disease and care and support for sufferers of the disease. I would really appreciate it if you could give even just a pound to support their work.

In October 2009 I lost a dear friend, Leah, who passed away after a heroic, heart-breaking battle with the disease. I hope that one day soon a cure is found for this disease.

In the past I have also run for Cancer Research and know there are a great many charities out there which do amazing work for an array of causes. If there is a charity which you would rather support for my efforts then please do, if you do then please tell me so I know what other great causes I will be running for!
