Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

After my successful treks in China, Peru and Nepal where thanks to you I have raised over £10,000, I have decided to pull on my walking boots once more and head to warmer climes with a trek through the rainforest in Costa Rica. 

This November, I will again be needing my anti-sickness pills as the trek will start at the dizzying height of 3500ft  on Cerro Frio, before trekking through a curious-sounding cloud forest and then descending into a tropical rainforest amongst the birds, bugs and monkeys.

I'm once again raising money for the premature baby charity, BLISS. It is an incredibly worthwhile charity and as my gorgeous twin granddaughters, Nancy & Lola, grow taller and more cheeky each year I realise it could have been very different if it wasn't for the work of this dedicated charity.  Despite continuous fundraising and development, more than 2000 babies die each year due to the lack of facilities, equipment and the specialised training of doctors and nurses.
