Pat's Running the Brighton Marathon!

Brighton Marathon 2018 · 15 April 2018 ·
I've watched both of my brothers run marathons. Each time I watch, I'm inspired by the incredible achievement... but I've always thought it was a bit beyond me. Heck, half marathons have been a big struggle for me in the past. Twice that? Sheesh.
But, well, as time has pressed on (and an annoyingly large birthday is only a year or so away), last year I figured it was time to step up to the challenge. Several months of training later and I'm at a stage where this pipe dream is close to becoming a reality.
I'm nervous. I'm excited. I'm dreading it and looking forward to it in equal measure.
Why run for Shelter? Well, on some of my runs, and many of my walks around town, I encounter far too many people living on the street. It's awful and it's horrendous that in a society so weathly this sort of thing is going on. I wanted to do something about it, and realised I could tie in my mammoth task with doing something good for others. So... I figured that could raise some money for Shelter. If you could help donate, in whatever amount, I'd be super grateful :)
