Great North Run 2015 · 13 September 2015 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Before I decided to take part in the Great North Run, I would probably only be seen running for a bus or to the pub before last orders!  So I decided that before I turned 25, a half marathon would be the perfect challenge...

I am raising money for the Alzheimer's Society as it provides invaluable support for those suffering from Alzheimers and their families  It also helps to fund research projects and promotes a greater public understanding of dementia.  Over 800,000 people in the UK suffer from dementia and the care they provide for those affected is incredible - so if you can help me to raise as much money as possible - that would be AMAZING!

Thank you very much for your support!
