Macclesfield GP, Dr Val Pickles, from Park Lane Surgery at Waters Green Medical Centre, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.  Her friends and colleagues would like to show their support for her by raising funds for charity – initially through a sponsored walk. 

The charity Val has chosen is Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention, based at Wythenshawe Hospital’s Nightingale Centre.  This is a local charity which does world-class research into the prediction and prevention of breast cancer.  Further information on the charity can be found at www.genesisuk.org.

The sponsored walk will take place in early July 2015 – please show your support for this extremely worthwhile cause by giving whatever you can to help achieve our target.
