Story
After the success of the Translake challenge (2 time winners) Team Parkinson have a new challenge for 2012. With a few of the original members, the team of 7 + driver will be attempting to complete the 3 peaks challenge.
The challenge consists of climbing the 3 highest mountains in 3 countries, Ben Nevis Scotland, Scafell Pike England and Snowdon in Wales. We are attempting to complete the challenge within 24hours including travelling with some of the ascents in the dark.
Team Parkinson will be setting off at 16.00hr on the 14 September in Scotland and finishing on the 15 September in Wales prior to 16.00hr.
We are looking to raise £2000 for our chosen charity Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and have set up a just giving web site in order for you to donate whatever you see fit.
The Hospital is a centre of excellence for paediatric care and offers specialist treatment for children across the region from as far North as Cumbria, down to Stoke and across to North Wales. They have a national reputation for providing the best of care in a variety of specialist areas.
The challenge will be funded by the team so all your donations will go direct to the charity. Your support would be greatly appreciated on what is a very tough challenge. We will look to acknowledge all our sponsors that have donated to the charity at least a week prior to the challenge commencing.
