Story
To mark World Suicide Prevention Day, Parker Planning Services are taking part in Mind's walking relay through the market towns of Norfolk and Waveney. Our leg is an 11 mile walk from Long Stratton to Hethersett, on Tuesday 27th September. By taking part in this challenge we are helping ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone, whilst also helping to raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with mental health.
Services that rely on funds raised from supporters like us taking on challenges like this include Mind's suicide prevention and complex bereavement services, which provide free suicide awareness and intervention training, 1:1 practical and emotional support for individuals bereaved by suicide, peer group support for those bereaved by suicide and peer group support for those bereaved through the COVID 19 pandemic.
