UPDATE:
Due to COVID I'm now in the 3rd time training for this marathon, so really hoping it goes ahead! This round the training hasn't been so pretty, in reality I've spent more time with friends than pounding the streets because the only the opposite was possible during the pandemic. This marathon is going to be even more tough, but I'm looking forward to finally being able to cross the finish line which I've used as a way to deal with my grief. Any amount you can donate would be hugely appreciated, and will spur on my final weeks of training.

After losing four close relatives in 2019, two of which we lost to Dementia (a form of Alzheimers), I wanted to do something to turn a really difficult situation into an opportunity to channel my energy through challenging myself and raising money for the disease which took my grandparents.
As a result, I'll be running the Paris Marathon on the 5th April 2020 for Alzheimer's Society. The money donated goes towards research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention as well as funding local support services for those with dementia and their families and friends.
I've got to raise a minimum of £1,000 (not including gift aid) so any amount you can donate would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks for your support.
