I'm excited to announce that I will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2023 in honour of my late grandmother, Janet Gibbs.

She was an incredible woman who taught me the importance of community, kindness and being a good person. She always supported her local community, and Age UK is one of the charities she loved most.

I have always had a strong affinity for older people, but after losing my grandmother, it became apparent that, as a society, we need to do more to give back to those who paved the way forward. Her love for the charity inspired me to work for the organisation, and I think she would be so proud of the work I'm doing here.

This is my first-ever half marathon, and to be honest, I'm pretty anxious about it! But with my grandma watching over and my team behind me, I know I can make everyone proud and raise much-needed funds for those who need it most in Hammersmith & Fulham.
