Story
8-year-old Nirmala, pictured here, lost her right leg in the Nepal earthquake. A year on, thanks to our physiotherapist Sudan, she has not only learnt to walk on her prosthetic leg but also to laugh. When you’re learning to walk again, every step counts. And we’ve been with Nirmala every step of the way.

Nirmala reminds me of my sister Nishi with learning disability. And just like I used to care for Nishi before, I would like to help and support people like Nirmala.
Sadly, in many countries, disabled and injured people struggle to access the care they need and find themselves excluded. We aim to raise vital funds to help them by supporting sustainable rehabilitation care in countries that need it most. Every splash I make, and every £1 you give, counts!
Until 18th July, every £1 you raise will be doubled by the UK government, making any gift go that much further.
What your gift could do:
£30 could provide an artificial limb for a child like Nirmala.
£75 could provide an emergency wheelchair.
£2,285 could provide a rehabilitation equipment kit (20 wheelchairs, 20 pairs of crutches, 50 walking frames) to distribute in a disaster.
So join me in helping children like NIrmala walk again!
