Story
On Sunday 23rd April, we invite the Papplewick School community to challenge themselves to take part in our annual Charity Walk in Windsor Great Park. All proceeds will be donated to the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service.
Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service provide specialist respite, palliative and end-of-life care to families across Berkshire and surrounding communities, where one or more of the children has a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. The service operates in families' own homes, as well as from its own purpose built, "home-from-home" children's hospice in Maidenhead; the first and only children's hospice in Berkshire. The Day Care facilities, such as the Sensory Room and Creative Learning zone, opened in June 2018
This charity has supported the Aiono family for many years and at the end of the Lent Term, Mason (Y7) delivered a heart felt presentation to the whole school informing us as to how this charity has supported his sister and family. Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice service provides support to not only children who are poorly, but also their families. This is a charity actively supporting a family at Papplewick School.
