Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I did something either incredibly intrepid or stupidly silly - I cycled from Birmingham to Manchester in a day. Before you write me off as a mad old codger (I'm 79), it's all in the name of charity, raising vital funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support.

The rain was falling and the sun setting as I cross the Mersey into Manchester. It was an exhilarating journey from Birmingham with far too many ups and downs - who knew there were so many hills! The aches are worth it knowing that MacMillan will be able to support more people with cancer. Thanks to all those who sponsored me on this epic trek. A big thank you to you all.

For those that don't know, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and needed a major operation. Now it's history and I want to help the millions of others in the UK who are fighting cancer.

I've passed my original target of £2,500 WHY STOP THERE, I'd love to double it £5000. So please give generously as all proceeds are going to a very good cause. Makes the pain and stiffness worthwhile.

I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
