We are a team of enthusiastic colleagues from Paneltex and Manufacturing Excellence who are taking on the ‘Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge’ in October 2020. This has to be completed in under 12 hours and involves hiking 24 miles, climbing Ingleborough (723m), Whernside (736m) and Pen-y-ghent (694m) along the route.

We got the idea for the challenge whilst continuing to work through the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown as key workers, ensuring our production output was maximised, enabling our customers to put vital home delivery vehicles and cold stores into operation - getting food and pharmaceutical’s to those isolating at home. Many others have worked
during this difficult period to keep society functioning and we wanted to raise money for our fellow key workers in the NHS, who have done a particularly difficult job on the front line of the pandemic.

Paneltex is a great place to work and we have a very supportive culture, the business is growing fast, creating lots of employment opportunities for those in the Hull area and we hope this page will contribute in attracting more great people to join our business. We are currently
undertaking a transformational change program with Manufacturing Excellence, we call it ‘Operational Excellence’ and the Three Peaks is a fabulous teambuilding exercise for us all. Our existing H&S improvement scheme, SAS (Who Cares Wins) has already been a successful team effort and put the fun back into H&S with a competitive league table and prizes. We all like a challenge at Paneltex, whether it be work based or in the Yorkshire Dales.
