UPDATE - 15th June 2014 - Yeah we did it, brilliant, cloudy but NO RAIN, we managed a 5k 'walk and talk' in just about 1 hour.  We were overtaken by someone dressed as a tree!!! but managed to beat the 6 foot high Octopus. I was a little tearful crossing the line, but glad we joined over 3000 ladies in pink swarming along the prom from Bournemouth to Boscombe pier and back. Note new photo's have been added for your amusement...!!!!!!

25th May 2014 - Hello from Pam, 
This is now my 11th year of Race for Life and I shall continue to do this walk for Anyone who has been touched by Cancer, and especially to the memory of Mike, who is always in my heart and thoughts.
For me this has been a different and challenging year, and on April 9th, I reached the 1 year milestone of Mike's passing. Since that date I feel that I have reached a pleasant state of calm and feel more on an even keel, and think I am coping better with life in general.
I have made a conscious effort of never turning down any offers of help and trips out /theatre/cream teas etc. and thank each and everyone of you, family or friends, who has met up or contacted me in some way, your friendships have been invaluable, and the social events amazing, long may they continue.
If we haven't met up yet, hang in there I'll get around to doing it sometime.
Nitwit continues to be a great comfort to me, though I could have done without her late night presents of live mice!!!

You can see Sandra and I have done some serious training this year........I hope we get a good finishing time for our '5k walk and talk' after all that effort.....!!! (Did you spot the trend in the training sessions?)
