Great North Run 2022
Campaign by Bowel Cancer UK (RCN 1071038)
The Great North Run is the world's largest half marathon with an incredible atmosphere. It's an amazing event to be a part of whether you're after a personal best or just wanting to be a part of something special.

Story

Allison and I are taking part in the worlds biggest and greatest half marathon, the  great north run 2022,  To raise vital funds for bowel cancer UK in memory of Allison’s much loved and missed Husband and my amazing Cousin Russell.

Russell sadly lost his fight against metastatic bowel cancer in November 2020 after undergoing multiple treatments, he was 40 years old.

Russell was a loyal Father, a loving husband and a devoted family man. He is a Veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, but most of all he was an amazing happy outgoing person. He was given the awful news of terminal cancer and in the space of weeks the cancer had spread throughout his body and he fought all the way to the end. So We are trying to raise as much as possible for bowel cancer UK,  which we know would have been one of the charities Russell would have chosen . Any donation big or small would be massively appreciated and if you can’t donate then please share our page

We have committed to the training and even if we crawl over the line we will do this for Russell.
