Story
Pam and Paul have worked together for MND patients as clinicians and researchers for 35 years. In 2010 Pam founded the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN) which has become a world- leading multidisciplinary centre aiming to understand the causes of MND and develop new effective treatments. The Institute is working hard and making real advances, with a pipeline of drug-based and novel biological treatments coming into clinical trials now or in the near future. Of course all this needs funding to keep our <200+ staff and research students equipped and supplied to the state-of-the-art. That is why we want to complete this challenge and raise more funding: To acknowledge the talent and commitment of SITraN's people, and to say a huge thank you to the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation for the support they have so far given us.
This trek is not the proverbial walk in the park and will be an exciting challenge. Four high passes between 6700 and 8200 feet during 50 kilometers of walking, together with camping in temperatures around 0 degreesC will be challenging.
Could we please invite you to help the fight to overcome MND through the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation by giving a kind donation?
