For 2019, we are fundraising for the Eastgate Theatres outreach work, which includes a travelling creative programme for the older community living in residential accommodation, as well as Eastgate on the Road, which takes creative performances and opportunities to rural communities within Tweeddale. The money raised will help us expand and develop this valuable outreach work over the long term. This years chief fundraising event is Take to the Floor on Sun 25 Aug a glamorous (and fun!) celebration of ballroom dancing held in the specially dressed and lit ballroom at Peebles Hydro. A Strictly-style event, Take to the Floor features a dance competition for couples who perform in front of a live audience, plus a panel of judges. Take to the Floor, which also sees performances by professional and community dance groups and fabulous live music, is one of the headline events at this years Creative Peebles Festival (23 Aug to 1 Sept).
