Story
Aaron was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma when he was 13 weeks old. CHECT has supported us throughout his life and now that he is older he wants to do something to say thank you for all the support that they have given to us as a family.
Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) is the UKs only charity dedicated to helping people affected by Rb. CHECT: Provides support and information to families and individuals. Funds research into the prevention and treatment of retinoblastoma. Raises awareness among health professionals and the public. Influences policy to improve services for patients.CHECT offers support to every family in the UK following a diagnosis of retinoblastoma, and provides lifelong support to anyone affected from diagnosis, through teenage years and into adulthood. As a small charity CHECT receives no government funding and relies on the kindness of others to provide services. Although all eight staff are working from home at the moment, and CHECT Support Workers are not able to meet families face to face, they are concentrating very much on supporting families by telephone and online. Please help CHECT continue to provide this vital support to families.
