Dorothy Dawes (1917 - 2014) had been involved in the Manchester Peace Park in Kosovo since 2000. Dorothy was always interested in MaK's annual children's Summer Club held there and in MaK's education, arts and sports projects. She loved children and also parks and gardens. Many of her closest friends came to Manchester from Kosovo and Dorothy remained well aware, even at the grand age of 96, that the Manchester Peace Park is in Podujeva. It seems highly appropriate, instead of floral tributes at Dorothy's funeral, to request that her friends and family might consider a donation to plant new roses in the Manchester Peace Park, Kosovo, in Dorothy's  memory.                                       www.makonline.org
