Story
Cancer statistics aren’t good, one in two people could face this challenge in their lives. On that basis, there are very few of us who will remain “untouched” in some way or other by this disease, whether it be personally, with family or friends.
Friends of the Cancer Centre fund vital medical staff and equipment, provide support for people fighting Cancer, provide patient comforts
such as coffee and other comforts to make time in hospital more pleasant, funds vital research and much, much more…
Most of us have a personal reason why fundraising for Cancer charities are close to our hearts so the PaLS ICT Team have decided to assist in the fight and fundraise in support of Friends of the Cancer Centre.
One member of our Team Declan Larkin has recently lost a dear friend ‘David Maxwell’ following a short battle with liver cancer. Declan has described David as a ‘mountain of a man’ who would help anyone at the drop of a hat and who would accept any challenge given to him for the benefit of others!
We, as a team, accept this mountain walk challenge in supporting ‘Friends of the Cancer Centre’ and in memory of our friends and family who have passed away and for those currently fighting against this disease.
There is no donation is considered to be too small, as we say, it helps to fund those comforts for patients as well as tackling the bigger issues, so please, if you can donate anything at all, it is very welcome.
