Story
When our baby Paloma died it tore our world apart and crushed our family. It’s taken enormous courage and strength to get to where we are today.
Since Paloma died, we have had two Rainbow babies, Betty and Kasper, and I can honestly say that they would not be here without the support from Petals that got us through our darkest hour.
The charity specialises in child bereavement loss and their free couples bereavement counselling sessions in the first 18 months helped Daria and I with our grieving immeasurably.
It wasn't focused on us grieving as individuals, instead, it was allowing us to understand how each other was grieving and the differences in how Fathers and Mothers react under this strain. I can honestly say they were instrumental in keeping us together as a couple and a family.
I only started running three years ago, so I could raise money for Petals, and give a little something back. This will be my biggest challenge yet - half a bloody marathon - and I don't know what I am thinking, other than I want to help more families get the support they need.
If you would like to help this small charity to make a huge difference in people’s lives then please give what you can.
Thanks so much,
Liam x
