How many miles can you run in 30 days? Could you take on 50 or 100 miles to help us beat dementia?

Story

The past few months have been tough for everyone, but coronavirus has hit those affected by dementia the hardest and continues to disrupt lives.

2020 has been the most difficult year of my life thus far. In December 2020, my 53 year-old mum was diagnosed with young-onset Alzheimer’s. She has been experiencing symptoms of memory loss for the past three years, and it is quite advanced now.

It really breaks my heart to know that she will not be completely present for the big milestones in my life.

This year has reinforced the importance of family, and to be grateful for the little things in life.

I am running for Dementia to raise awareness and funds to help sufferers and their families to cope with this debilitating illness.

Any support would be appreciated, as I have not been exercising for the past 8 months!
