Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I know that there are a huge amount of people all asking for donations and many for the same charity.
I have chosen to run the ING New York marathon for Cure Leukaemia because of hearing the news that Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov is suffering from Acute Leukaemia, now I understand that people will think that the club will donate but they are supporting staff members who are raising money so this page is just me as a fan of Aston Villa trying to do my bit, all the help I'm getting is through Fans facebook and web pages at both Villa and Celtic. By donating you will be helping people who suffer from Leukaemia, so please donate. Ok prize time. I have been in contact with Villa and they will get the shirt I run in signed by the squad so all those who donate £5 or more will go into a draw for the signed shirt and remember this will be a one off, the Villa shirt will be what I run in, but don't panic I will clean it before it gets signed. Please send contact details to petegough@talktalk.net so I can keep note and let you know if you win. Please note the Celtic shirt is still awaiting confirmation. Please state if you want the Villa or Celtic shirt.
All the money raised will go straight to the charity as my wife is treating me for my 40th birthday.
Please donate even £1 as it will all soon add up.
Better late than never, but as I'm sure your aware the marathon was cancelled due to Hurrucane Sandy. To fulfill my pledge to run I will be running 50 laps of the Villa Park pitch before the Arsenal game on Sat 24th November.
Many Thanks for taking a look.
