Story
UHB Charity works across four hospitals - the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital - to fund cutting edge equipment, world leading research and added extras that change, save lives and improve the hospital experience for the two million patients we treat every year. They support patients, families and staff at their hospitals by providing ‘added extras‘ that are over and above that which is provided by the NHS.
This year members of the Paediatric team at Heartlands Hospital are taking part in one of UHB Charity's Snowdon Challenges to support the Children's ward’s. The aim of the challenge is to raise money to fund for resources which will support children's stay during what may seem like a daunting time at hospital. Your donation will contribute raising Money for the Children's Ward at UHB to help create a positive environment and bring joy and happiness to a child staying in hospital. We will be raising money for a Rocking R, an interactive portable medical gaming cart with the latest technology which can be accessed by sick children and young people and can be used as a distraction for children and young people who may not be be able to leave their hospital bed due to being too poorly.
Members of the Paediatric Team are walking up the Snowdon Mountain on the evening of Saturday 2nd September 2023 into the early hours of the Sunday 3rd September 2023, any donations are greatly appreciated and will be going towards a great cause.
