Story
A 6 member team adventure raising money for Wild Night Out. Members are Juliette, Penny. Lizzie, Marcus, Will & Neil.
We are embarking of a crossing of England by Paddleboard, from Bristol, to London over 9 days in July (9th-17th). We are not seasoned adventurers but just friends with a love for the outdoors/adventure and a common goal to try to encourage more people to get outside and embrace the great British outdoors. We want to support the idea that all adventure, big or small, can be found right on our backdoor.. We believe this is the 2nd time this has been done (but the 1st time for any woman). This route is 165 miles and consists of 112 locks. We will also be unsupported, taking all our food, equipment and supplies and camping along the way.
We are doing this to raise money for Wild Night Out, and event happening on the 16th July to encourage people to get outside or have an adventure big or small with the aim to raise money for the Youth Adventure Trust - an amazing charity that uses the outdoors/adventure to inspire and give confidence to vulnerable children across the UK. We are trying to get some exposure to promote this charity and also the Wild Night Out Initiative.
