Story
As many of you know, for the last year my Mum has been having treatment for Bowel cancer and thankfully the outlook seems very positive. Over the past twelve months she has had lots of support from friends, family and work colleagues and we are all very grateful for that. However, sadly, there are many people suffering from similar conditions who do not have the same level of support, which is why my brother and I are trying to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Nurses, a charity who support just such people.
On the August Bank Holiday we will be attempting to set a new world record by canoeing from to along the Grand Union canal (137 miles). We have been training hard for the event and have learnt to deal with angry swans and fishermen alike. Thanks for all your donations - they are all greatly appreciated.
We would also like to say a big thank you to our main sponsor, Boatshed Grand Union, for all their support (grandunion.boatshed.com)
