My name is Phil Tucker I am 44 years old,married to the wonderful Claire and live in Plymouth Devon.This charity is close to my heart as i lost my dad to bowel cancer 22 years ago and other members of my family have been affected by this horrible disease. I have always been a keen cyclist from my bmx racing days as a teen up till now.After putting on a lot of weight and feeling really unfit Claire and i started talking about bucket list challenges, which was when i decided to take on the biggest challenge of my life in entering Ride Across Britain 2014 which will see me cycle 969 miles in 9 days across Great Britain from Lands end to John O Groats starting on the 6th-14th of september.This challenge for me will be a total lifestyle change including shedding many lbs of excess weight of which the journey has already began.
