UPDATE: WE DID IT!!!!!!! (photo to follow soon)
Thank you to all who have donated your hard earned cash and to all those who came and cheered for us on the day. It was an amazing experience and we are all so pleased to have finished. Dr Bennett did increadably well and finished in under two hours. Jo managed it in 2hr12min and i completed in 2hrs34mins. We all managed to run the whole 13.1 miles of this great route.
There is still time for you to donate if there are people out there who haven't got round to it yet. This site will stop accepting donations on the 2nd May so there is still plenty of time to pester your friends and families to dig deep .
Thank you again to everyone. From Cas.
P.S. Anyone out there keen to join us next year!?
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Three members of the Cystic Fibrosis team here at the Churchill Hospital will be running in the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd March. We are Jo Glare - Dietician, Cassandra Green - Specialist Nurse, Lesley Bennett - Doctor. All of us have been training since November and aim to complete this great challenge, some of us having not run since school.
We will be running for around 2 hours and hope that you'll be kind enough to sponsor us for the direct benefit of the Oxford Cystic Fibsosis Centre. All monies go in to a special Charitable Fund here at the Oxford Radcliffe NHS Trust and donating via this website makes it even easier for the centre to benefit from an extra 28%, if you are a UK taxpayer, to no added cost to you.
As they say the site is simple, safe and secure, so rest assured your money will reach its desired target, benefiting the patients at the Oxford Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre.
Treatment for Cystic Fibrosis is very intensive and requires frequent trips and admissions to hospital. We are planning to use this money to make this experience more pleasant for Cystic Fibrosis patients by improving the environment and facilities while at hospital receiving treatment.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
