Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
My eldest brother, Andy, has learning difficulties, and this makes it very challenging for him to communicate. This doesn't stop him being quite cheeky and very caring, though!
In February 1994, Andy moved into assisted living accommodation in Sheffield, provided by the Home Farm Trust. This was very important to our family, as it coincided with me and Jonathan (our middle brother) heading off to University: Andy was moving on too!
Since that day, Hft has been amazing, and instrumental in ensuring that Andy has had a comfortable and supportive living environment, access to opportunities to learn, and also to make valuable contributions to his local community through volunteer work and dog walking!
Andy has always been mad for anything train-related, and through the vision and dedication of the Hft, 'Andy's Station' was created - a train mecca for Andy to relax in, watch his train DVDs, and look through his train magazines.
Many people from Hft have been involved in Andy's development, enriching his life. Running the London Marathon is my small way of saying thank you, and raising some money for such a great charity.
If you are able to make a donation, however small, (or big), this will make a huge difference to those who are supported by Hft.
Thank you ! (Off to do some running now!)
