In Memory of Owen George

Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2022 · 28 May 2022 to 29 May 2022 ·
Owen George was taken from our lives only after 4 weeks, a victim of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). We will never suffer a greater loss.
He was our miracle baby boy, after years of trying, fertility treatments, and a miscarriage we found out we were pregnant by chance, just before Thanksgiving. And from that moment on, Owen became our life.
Owen was the best baby, even before he was born, never giving me any trouble during the pregnancy. He was so happy he didn’t want to leave, as it took 24 hours for him to be brought into this world - it was worth every second. He had the best personality and inherited Ben’s gift of just wanting to sleep and sleep through anything. We’ll never forget his little smile while he was dreaming or his big blue eyes discovering everything new in the world.
He was taken from us way too soon, but he will never be taken from our hearts. He is and always will be our son, who we love and will continue to love more than anything.
Teddy’s Wish was a charity Ben and I discovered during a webinar with Happy Mum Happy Baby about pregnancy loss. There were women who had encountered pregnancy loss at different stages of pregnancy and post pregnancy. When we lost Owen George, I immediately went to Teddy’s Wish to hear about other’s stories and research all the great work they are doing. Not only do they fundraise for research into the causes of baby loss, they provide incredible support and retreats for grieving families.
Thank you so much to all of our family and friends for your continued support during this loss and continued struggle, and thank you for supporting us in Owen George.
All our love, Ben and Laura xoxo
