Multiple Sclerosis is a subject very close to my heart. My sister Anne (pictured in two of photographs uploaded to this site) died from the illness in March of this year and I want to raise funds to help in the fight against this illness. She was only 43, leaving behind her husband and son. I therefore want to help in the fight against this illness to prevent other families going through what mine has gone through. There are many new developments in the fight against MS and I really want to just make a difference. I have already completed the Walk for Scotland earlier on this year, where thanks to substantial generosity I raised over £700. In an effort to raise further funds to assist research into this illness, I am doing the Edinburgh Christmas Walk (http://www.challengescotland.com/edinburgh-christmas-walk.html) on Sunday 6th December with my Aunt Doreen. We are walking six miles from Inverleith Park to the Botanic Gardens, the Water of Leith and back to Inverleith Park. Please give your support. All donations will be much appreciated. Many thanks.
Update - 6th December - Today I completed the Edinburgh Christmas Walk. I am pleased to say it was a success. The weather was cold but dry and it was an enjoyable walk. To date I have raised £252 offline and £44 online, £296 in total. This page will remain open for some time yet and any other donations will be most gratefully received. Thank you in anticipation.
Update - 27th January - I have collected up all of my sponsor money. In total, I have raised £313 through my sponsor form and £69 online, £382 in total. I plan to send a cheque for £313 to the Multiple Sclerosis Society within the next week. This total amount of sponsorship is well above my target and is an excellent result. This page will remain open for some time yet and any other donations will be most gratefully received. Thank you in anticipation.
