I'm really pleased to have an opportunity to run in the London Marathon - one of the big 6 world marathons and I want to use this to make a difference to the people of Tukey whose lives have been devastated by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake 0n 6th February and it's aftershocks. 

As has been the case in so many previous disasters, WorldShare is able to assist in the emergency response. Through WorldShare’s local partner, Kanal Hayat, contact has been made with churches and a local Christian emergency relief organisation who are all working in the disaster zones. Your support will help provide shelter, food, toilets, mobile hygiene units, medical care and trauma support for children. It will enable tents to be provided, each equipped with four beds, quilts, pillows, blankets and bed linen. It will also help provide clothes and underwear, toiletries, baby care sets and toys. Due to the scale of the disaster, emergency relief will be needed for the foreseeable future and every pound will make a difference. Thank you for your support.
