Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2021 we lost our dear loving friend, brother, son, cousin and father, Lewis. Everyone who knew Lewis would agree that he was one of the most honest, kind and caring person this world has ever seen. We sadly lost Lewis to the biggest killer of men under 50, suicide. This is a national crisis and although there is a narrative building around male mental health, it is not taken as serious as it should be.

Myself and few friends have come together to raise awareness of this growing crisis in the hope that others would help their friends and families in a time need. We aim to complete a trek/hike from the Penarth Pier Pavilion to Pen Y Fan in Wales over the weekend of the 7th and 8th of May, staying in Merthyr Tydfil over night. The reasons behind the trek was we grew up in Penarth and often we'd spend time in at Penarth beach and in and later around the Brecon Beacons, the latter of which is one of Lewis' favourite places to visit so it seems only natural! We seek to fundraise £2,000 for Samaritans in aid of the good work they do at the charity so we ask to please donate generously.
