Boring fact No 1: Old Trafford football ground, home to Manchester United, has the largest capacity of any ground in the Premiership.

Boring Fact No 2: To get all those people in it has to have the highest stands in the Premiership.

Slightly less Boring Fact:  The roof of the North Stand is 120 feet above the pitch.

Scary, sacry fact:  That means I'll be hurling myself off the roof, which as you'll now realise is 120 feet above the ground, with nothing but a bit of string preventing a rather too exciting descent.

As most of you know, Ellie has CF.  She has to work really hard to keep well including having over 60 tablets a day of different kinds and spending 20 minutes of valuable TV watching time doing physio.  She keeps asking when her cure will be ready.  Like thousands of other children she is doing well at the moment but needs current research to bear fruit if she is to enjoy the kind of long and healthy life the rest of us take for granted.  The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is leading the way in providing funds for gene therapy research aimed at developing the cure these children are longing for.
