Story

The Charity - I am doing a decathlon with a difference to help raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers. This is a charity which helps raise money for children who have lost a parent serving in the Army. It gives the children a holiday and helps them through their childhood.

Dates - My Decathlon will start on my Birthday, 14th Jun 15 and finish 10 days later on 23rd Jun 15.

Reasons - I chose a Decathlon because it involves me completing 10 events and I will be turning 10 years old on the day it starts.

  • Day 1 - Colour Run
  • Day 2 - Sponsored Silence for 1 hour over lunch break
  • Day 3 - Sponsored tennis ball hit (balls over the net and in court for 30 mins)
  • Day 4 - Sponsored Dog Groom
  • Day 5 - Sponsored piano playing for 30 mins
  • Day 6 - Sponsored bike ride for 30 mins
  • Day 7 - Sponsored skip for 30 mins
  • Day 8 - Sponsored cookie bake
  • Day 9 - Sponsored spelling (50 tricky words)
  • Day 10 - Penny Mile and cookie sale

Sponsorship - I am hoping that people will sponsor me for each of the events or for an overall total for the complete Decathlon.
