From 28 March - 3 April 2022 we will be celebrating World Autism Acceptance Week. By organising your own fundraising activity or making a donation you can help us change attitudes, transform lives and create a society that works for autistic people.

Story

We're fundraising this World Autism Acceptance Week to help change attitudes, transform lives and create a society that works for autistic people. For World Autism Acceptance week in 2022, we are celebrating a shift in focus, from raising awareness to increasing acceptance and understanding of autism.

Autism Acceptance week is a yearly event that is planned around Autism Acceptance Day on the 2nd of April. In 2022, Autism Acceptance Week runs from 28th March - to 3rd April. April is also Autism Acceptance Month, so what better time of year to raise awareness and fundraise for different Autism-related causes.

The first-ever Autism Acceptance Week (then called Autism Awareness Week) dates back to 2nd April 2007, when the first-ever World Autism Acceptance Day happened. The original concept of educating people about Autism Spectrum Conditions and celebrating achievements continues to be the focus of these events today.
