Charity purpose: "We are there for unpaid carers when they are most in need."
- We offer information, guidance and support for carers. A gateway for carers to emotional, specialist, peer support and learning.
- We work with carers, communities and partners in the county of West Sussex.
- Giving recognition and empowerment to carers as well as a sense of community from their peers.
- Supporting carers who have to look out for loved ones while maintaining a life for themselves.
Inclusive, caring and innovative, a charity that has the specific purpose of helping unpaid carers across West Sussex as well as
the rest of the South of England. There are more than 120,000 unpaid carers in this county alone and many don’t have the support they need when caring for a loved one whilst trying to maintain a personal life.
The difficulties many carers have faced over the past 2 years with COVID-19 has impacted many of their lives and may struggle to
keep care of their loved ones while having the issues of any other person in such hard and adverse times.
The range of support the charity offers is wide, whether caring for someone with dementia, a disability or someone that may suffer from alcohol or drug misuse, Carers Support West Sussex covers it all.
