Story
Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page!
February 2021 marks 20 years since my brother (Matthew Orchard) and I (Clarke Orchard) lost our dad to a very rare disease, Cushing's Syndrome, which resulted in bowel and liver cancer at only 49 years old, on Matthew's 10th birthday.
To commemorate his life we have decided to partake in a 110 mile charity cycle ride from Bath RFC to Teignmouth RFC on Saturday 10th April (COVID and weather permitting!)
Our Dad had a zest for sport whose life breathed Rugby down at Teignmouth RFC. Not only was he an amazing player, he gave up his time to coach youth teams, but most of all loved channelling his passion for rugby into his family, being heavily invested in my (Clarke) rugby career. As well as this, he actively involved himself at Broadmeadow Football Club as a senior coach, where he again enjoyed investing in his children's passions by closely following Matthew's football journey.
We wanted to mark our dad's anniversary by raising money for Children with Cancer UK, who actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their families together. Their vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
As well as the obvious physical challenge we will endure, this will be an overwhelming experience emotionally for us and our family, but we are so eager to raise awareness for this amazing charity and do something for our Dad.
We would be extremely grateful for any donations, it would really mean the world to us and our family. (Please remember to GiftAid!). If you want to find out more about the charity copy and paste this link:

We will keep you posted with our training along the way, thanks everyone!
We love you Dad, this is for you.
