Peter Berry's Orbital Tower Challenge

Fundraising for Alzheimer's Research UK
£1,306
raised of £1,000 target
We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

I've raised money by cycling on all sorts of bikes including my penny farthing and so the time has come to change tack and 'raise the bar.'  Along with my friend, Sue Strachan, whom I met during Channel 4's "The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes" programme, I am abseiling down the Orbital Tower in London.

I'm used to using ropes to climb up (and down) trees as part of my pre-diagnosis work in the timber trade and so this challenge might well reconnect me with some memories of the past.

I am undertaking this challenge to raise money for ARUK because my firm belief is that research is the best way forward in finding a cure for this condition.

Thank you in advance for your continued generosity and support for all my madcap ideas!
