Kids - Operation Raise Money

Fundraising for Devon & Cornwall Food Action
£525
raised of £100 target
Operation Raise Money, 30 November 2020
We Fill Bellies Not Bins to actively aim to eradicate food poverty.

Story

Dexter, Harry, Ruben and Lilly had a chat about how they could help other children who might be just down the road but in a very different situation to themselves.  They feel very strongly that they need to do what they can to help other families.  One of the things that they have decided to do is set themselves a personal challenge to raise money for Devon and Cornwall Food Action.  They will do the challenges every day for 10 days.

These are their challenges

Dexter - 30 mins or more of exercise a day (as much as i can)
Harry - 30 min work out every day
Ruben - 50 star jumps every day
Lilly - 10 star jumps a day

Any support would make them really happy!

About the charity

We are a registered charity, striving to eradicate food poverty in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall. It is an unfortunate fact that food poverty exists within the shores of the United Kingdom. We are run almost entirely by a brilliant volunteer workforce and are constantly on the hunt to expand the team, if you could give us some of your time, even as little as 4 hours per week, then get in touch to tell us about your unique skillset and how you'd like to become one of the team…we'd love to hear from you. Help with all fields within the charity would be amazing - Marketing - Collections - Distributing - sorting - IT and website maintenance, the list is endless. DCFA is not a foodbank. We work with food producers and supermarkets to redistribute surplus food to those in need. We supply a number of services, community organisations and groups. Through their various means testing schemes produce is distributed to those that have been identified as being in desperate need to feed themselves and their families.
