Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our two churches have been linked as one parish for 14 years: we’re a lively and diverse community of people who worship, pray and serve together, being a light which shines brightly in the communities of Hadley and Wellington. We offer a variety of services so there is something to suit almost everyone! We even provide a cooked meal at Breakfast Church on the first Sunday in the month!

Congregation members play a huge part in parish life, through volunteering in various roles: for example running the dementia friendly group known as Lets meet Together; co ordinating donations to Ukraine; and helping to run “Experience” events at both churches so that schools have an opportunity to come in and learn about Christmas and Easter.

One Parish Singers meet on Monday evenings to practice music, both ancient and modern, for upcoming services and events.

Monthly rosary prayers happen at Christ Church and online via Facebook ~ if you have a prayer request then do please get in touch with us. We are always ready to listen and pray!

Visit our Facebook page: Facebook.com/pg/oneparishtelford for up to date information on Sunday services in church, concerts, get-togethers and fellowship taking place.

We have our annual Christmas Festival taking place on Saturday 7 December from 11.30am until 3.30pm, this year themed around the Donkey. We are looking forward to hearing performances from Telford Community Ensemble at 12.30 and 1.30pm, followed by Carols with Carrie, one of our talented musicians. Of course there will be the usual mix of stalls, games and festive foods to enjoy too, and its FREE ENTRY! Please do come along, you're assured of a warm welcome, someone to chat to, and an opportunity to be filled with the Christmas Spirit.

In order to keep serving, we need financial support to enable and sustain our presence in the community. You may not realise but it costs us £800+ every week just to open the doors on Sunday and this is a huge challenge, not least because of the rise in utility bills.

We are thankful for your support, whether that is financial or through prayer and encouragement, worship in person or online. Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page.
