Story

Hi all, I am fundraising for St Catherine's Hospice for Sussex and Surrey. St Catherine’s vision is "for a world where everyone facing death and bereavement can do so informed, supported and pain free". I will be doing two things for your pennies.

Now that the restrictions have eased, next week I am going to chop most of my hair off and donate it to the Little Princess Trust who make wigs for little girls and boys who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment. I have purposefully grown it to meet their greatest need which is for hair that is 16" (41cm) or longer. I won't have gone this short since I was a girl myself.

I have also signed up for the Run Reigate 10K for St Catherine's Hospice on 19th September. St Catherine's helped me care for my dad at home as per his wishes, supporting us right to the end. St Catherine's is a remarkable charity largely funded by donations, but sadly they are predicting a £1.5 million shortfall in funding this year due to the pandemic.

That will be later in the year once I've bought some trainers and taught myself how to run (have never run before!) but to save me bothering you all with begging for donations twice here is the link for both. Thank you in advance!
