*Team Omnia: Dale, Iain, Jay, Lou, Rach, Robyn, Michele, Caz, Chloe, Lauren, Niamh, Kate, Kaitlyn, Lozza, Em, Zoe, Joanne and Freya *

The challenge will begin on 28th March 2022 (and take 66 days to complete)

Our inspiration for the Team's fundraising challenge....

In June 2018 The Simkiss Family received the devastating news that their little boy Jude has a rare genetic disorder which affects his brain and will mean it is unlikely he will live past childhood. They were told that worst-case scenario he might not live to his 1st or 2nd birthday. (They celebrated his 4th birthday on 15 October 2021). His condition is so limiting that he cannot move or co-ordinate his body in any way, is unlikely to ever walk or talk and is visually impaired. Jude has since been diagnosed with a rare genetic Mitochondrial disease.

Dale and Mel are heartbroken and living every parent's worst nightmare knowing that they may one day lose their child. It is nobody's fault that he has this condition, it is just a cruel stroke of nature that affects many other children and families across the UK.

Alexander Devine Children's Hospice give hundreds of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families, the
specialist care and support that they need.

2022 is a special milestone for the charity as they mark 15 years since they were founded by Fiona and John Devine in 2007.
